Shein Haul

Hey girlies! I decided to see what all the hype was about on a big clothing company. You may see many of your favorite artists or influencers wearing this brand on Instagram – yes I’m talking about Shein. Shein is known for having trendy clothing and every day sales/discounts. They offer clothes for women, men, kids – there are even categories for beauty, home and pets!

So I decided to place an order and see what the hypes about! I got 5 items in total – 2 tops, 1 sweater, a pair of jeans, and some boots. Let’s talk about it…

Review

Color Block Gigot Sleeve Slim Top – $13

I am wearing a size Large in this top. This is my true size and it fits as expected. Compared to their website the sleeves appear more sheer as does the rest of the top – hence while you can see the slight color of my bra. For the price it is decent quality. The black part of the top, has a sweater type feel for the material.

Funnel Neck Color Block Tee – $11

This maybe my second favorite item from the haul. The website says tee but this is definitely a sweater folks. This tee/sweater is on the thinner side even though it has a turtleneck. The thinner material is perfect for the fall or for those warmer winter days we’ve been having. I’m wearing a Large in this as well, it fits perfectly. It does come in sizes all the way to a 4XL so you can size up for an oversize look. Even wearing a large the sleeves are oversized on their own.

Faux Patent Leather Zippered High Heeled Boots – $39

Guys these boots are TO DIE FOR! When I seen them I had to have them. I’m a sucker for a good boot and I’ve been searching for a good pair of boots just like these and I just could not pass up the opportunity when I seen this lovely color. Based on the reviews I pulled the triggered and sized up from my actual size which is a 9. There is a special place in Heaven for people who take the time to leave reviews after they purchase lol my shoes fit like a dream.

High Waisted High Stretch Skinny Jeans – $24

If you guys could sense my fear through the screen before I bough these lol it was like being chased in a horror movie. Buying jeans is the most horrific thing when buying clothes for me ESPECIALLY when I have to buy them online. Being this was my first time purchasing from Shein, I read a lot of reviews on how their jeans fit others. I also went over the sizing chart. Comparing the two, I went with my best guess and purchased this pair of jeans in a 1XL from the plus size section. I’m not 100% satisfied with them. They don’t have as much stretch as I expected. They do fit my body amazing and there is no gap around the waist. For reference I am 5’6 and currently 220 lbs.

Contrast Leopard Print Blouse (without belt) – $18

My last purchase I cannot give an honest review because it does not fit. I purchased a Large, the biggest size sold in this shirt. It could be do to my weight and/or the size of my chest. In both the chest and stomach area it does not fit as comfortably as I would like with the buttons. It does fall mid-thigh for an oversize look as pictured on the website. I decided not to return this item since I’m currently losing weight, this is my motivation.
